The 30-years old quarterback signed the Cardinals on Tuesday, after leavind the Titans, to be a backup solution for Kurt Warner. Meanwile, Cardinals top quarterback, Matt Leinart is placed on the injured chart until the end of the season, for a broken collarbone.

The decision about the move of Rattay to Arizona, was made by the coach Ken Whisenhunt, the offensive coaches and mostly by Rod Graves, who is Cardinals general manager. Tim Rattay passed the final examination, although in the past weeks he trained with his father, at the Phoenix Christian high school, after he was during the training camp by the Tennessee Titans.
