Coming off a suspension for violating NFL’s conduct policy, Bengals WR Chris Henry has allready got involved in a off-field incident, in a parking lot near his team’stadium.
Tuesday night, police in Newport, Kentucky, a suburb on the other side of the Ohio River was called to an entertainment district following a dispute over a parking fee between the Bengals WR and a parking attendant, who said that Henry didn’t pay his fee when he parked his car and the two got in a dispute, that was stoped by the police. The attendant told police that Henry and another man parked their sport utility vehicle without paying, and got in an arguement loudly. No charges have been filed. Henry was suspended for the first eight games of this season, for repeatedly violating NFL’s conduct policy, and was allowed to return to practice before last week’s defeat in Buffalo, when Henry didn’t played. When Henry talked to reporters after practice Wednesday, he agreed to answer questions about football only. Chris Henry is elligible for Bengals’ game against Baltimore Ravens on sunday.
Philadephia Eagles strong safety Sean Considine will miss the rest of the season after injuring his left shoulder in his team’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. Considine became a starter before the midpoint of last season and played all games this season, had 27 solo tackles and an interception. He was placed on the Injury Reserve list, his place on the team will be taken by rookie Marcus Paschal, from the practice squad. Also, Eagles signed safety Eric Harris and defensive end Xzavie Jackson to the practice squad.
Jacksonville Jaguars QB David Garrard practiced on wednesday, and could start on sunday, if more tests will show that he’s fit to play. Coach Jack Del Rio said Garrard needs to move well to have a chance to play Sunday against the Titans, who are fourth in the AFC with 22 sacks. Jaguars’ coach said that the starting QB issue is a game-time decision, but David Garrard believes that he’ll be ready, within a few days.
Seattle Seahawks are dealing with plenty of injuries before their Monday Night Football game at home with the San Francisco 49ers. An entire list of first team players have missed practice due to different injuries. Among them, RB Shaun Alexander (broken left wrist, twisted left knee, sprained left ankle), WR Deion Branch (sprained foot), TE Marcus Pollard (arthroscopic surgery on his right knee last month),linebacker Leroy Hill (strained right hamstring). “Some of them will come back. We’ll practice them, hopefully, on Friday,” coach Mike Holmgren said. The Seahawks are 4-4, leading NFC West.
