Josh McCown will take back the role of starting quarterback for the Raiders, as coach Kiffkin decided that although Culpepper has played well, Raiders couldn’t score more than two touchdowns in the last two games.

McCown, who missed last four games with a broken toe, has been the backup quarteback in week 8 for Raiders’ loss in Tennessee. “I feel good,” McCown said. “I feel like I can play my game”. One of the reasons given by coach Kiffkin about the change, was the lack of productivity after Oakland’s win over Miami in week 4. Since that game, Oakland Raiders’ Culpepper has thrown four interceptions and fumbled the football six times.

“They’re different quarterbacks,” said Kiffin, adding that he doesn’t expect Oakland’s offense to change much with McCown at quarterback. But we’re going to go back with Josh”. Kiffin informed both quarterbacks of his decision before thursday’s practice, as in the next game Culpepper will be the backup QB for McCown, while rookie sensation JaMarcus Russell, who everybody wait to see, will be the emergency backup. McCown had passed for 494 yards and four touchdowns before getting hurt, which makes him one of the league leaders.

In other news: The Raiders organisation announced that, so far, sunday game against Houston Texans is not a sell out, and that DT Gerard Warren did not practice, while WR Ronald Curry (a foot injury) was limited in thursday’s practice but is expected to play against Houston.
