Carolina Panthers quarterback is considering to put an end to his season after a two week injury.

Jake Delhomme will miss the rest of the season after he decided to have his right elbow under surgery.

After Panthers defeated Saints 16-13 in week 5, coach John Fox spoke about Delhomme’s injury, before the game, he was trying to go through rehab to see how he is managing his disconfort, but the starting quarterback couldn’t do it.

Fox said. “Jake was playing very well. I think that’s pretty well documented. He’s not only our starting quarterback, but what he brings to our football team will be missed.”

Panthers now try to find a solution for the QB position in backup David Carr, who signed in the offseason, but he also suffered a back injury against the Saints on Sunday and is not known until now if he will be available for the game with Arizona, next week.
