Tight End Donald Lee, a five year veteran, signed a four-year extension worth just under $12 million, his agent said Monday.

Donald Lee, who has 29 receptions for 382 yards and a touchdown, has become an important part of the Packers’ offense this season with fellow tight end Bubba Franks out with a knee injury. Lee, has started seven of eight games this year.

“He is really excited about the deal,” said Lee’s agent. And with Packers’ safety Nick Collins out, after a weird accident during sunday game against Kansas City Chiefs, it seems that the deal is one that acknowledges Lee’s signifiant plays with the team. The Packers are 7-1 this season, leading in NFC North.
