After being sandwiched by the Buffalo Bills defense on sunday, and suffering a neck injury, Bengals WR Chad Johnson could play on Sunday, against Baltimore Ravens, said coach Marvin Lewis.
Johnson was hit by Buffalo’s Donte Whitner while he tried to make a diving catch during the closing minutes of a 33-21 loss suffered by Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. He left the field in an ambulance, after not being able to move and laying on his chest for minutes, before being carried out off the pitch. A test at a Buffalo hospital found no serious injury, and Chad Johnson flew back to Cincinnati with the team, attending Monday’s practice and meeting with coach Marvin Lewis, to speak about the healing progress and prediction about making an appearence on sunday, in Baltimore against the Ravens.
“He’s fine,” said Marvin Lewis, while Chad Johnson refused to talk to media on Monday morning and was carted off the field as a precaution.
